TOP GUN BALLAD AND A CINEMATIC STATE OF MIND

On April 16th, Isle of You is back with their new single "Fallback". A catchy, 80s shimmering ballad with Top Gun guitars and honest lyrics about not letting go of love. "Fallback" is the first of several singles that the duo will release in 2021.

AN ANXIOUS QUARANTINE LOVE SONG

   - This one goes out to the hopeless romantics who in a time of lockdown and isolation didn’t let fear and doubt get in the way of love. In the current pandemic situation, we believe that people need to hear “Fallback”. It’s magnificent and vulnerable, anxious and euphoric. The song reflects today's worries and fears, at the same time as it brings you into a hopeful cinematic world.

"ARTIST OF THE FUTURE"

Isle of You consists of best friends Ida Johansson and Elina Danielsson who debuted with the electronic pop album "Party until we're in love" in 2019. The duo was nominated for “Artist of the Future” at “P3 Guld” 2020, after having a successful year with single “Hold Tight” as the most played song on Swedish Radio P3. P3 caught eye on Isle of You after Sia added their single “Bodyguard” on the Spotify playlist Team Sia’s Ear Candy 2018.

FROM A COLOMBIAN PRISON TO THE SWEDISH RADIO

   - We wrote Bodyguard after having the most intense moment in our lives. When we were 18 we decided we were mature enough to travel the world and somehow we ended up in a maximum high security Colombian prison.

Face to face with 50 former members of paramilitary soldiers and the cartel, we performed our catchy pop songs. They told us about their lives – how they started doing drugs when they were only 13, how they had seen friends die for ”walking on the wrong side of the street”, and then it was time for us to sing for them.

It was quite an emotional contrast, but it ended up being the most beautiful moment. We could all find common ground in the music and the power of it. We also realised that our friendship is the reason we always nearly kill ourselves but also help eachother grow and push ourselves beyond our limits.
